   Yesterday I joined nine other congressional challengers and several military leaders in releasing A Responsible Plan to End the War in Iraq. This plan aims to bring the war to an end. This plan aims to restore our constitutional checks and balances. This plan aims to prevent going to war under false pretenses. This plan aims to go to war only with a plan to win the war -- and the peace. You can find a link to the plan here.

   I support this comprehensive plan because it includes strategies to end military action in Iraq, use U.S. diplomatic power, address humanitarian concerns, restore the military, and create U.S. centered energy policy. It also makes it clear that withdrawing our troops is not synonymous with abandoning Iraq. It means that we redirect resources to help the Iraqis rebuild their country. It is the right thing to do.

   When I am in Congress, I will take a leadership role in implementing this plan to bring an end to the war in Iraq. With the first quarter coming to a close on March 31, and the national media now looking closely at me as a leader of this new effort, it is more critical than ever I have a successful fundraising push over the next two weeks.
